The DiaMension™ machine uses DiaVision™ software.All diamonds in our inventory are photographed using a standardized ideal-scope system. An ideal-scope photograph creates a structured light environment and shows what areas of a diamond return light to the viewer’s eye and what areas do not. Our system utilizes the Ideal-scope RPS Tray and a 5000K color-corrected daylight backlighting source in a controlled studio. The Ideal-Scope was developed by Garry Holloway FGAA, DipDT, JAA Appraiser. As of 2005 the AGS is using a similar device for light performance assessment in its cut-grading system.
